Malaysia’s Five Petroleum is considering establishing a network of gas stations in Uzbekistan, along with transport and logistics infrastructure to support its operations.
A special working group will inspect all filling (gas and gasoline) stations in Ferghana region after a recent explosion, to check compliance with industrial, fire and environmental safety standards. Station employees will undergo training by the Emergency Situations Department.
Price limit of 8,000 Uzbek soums is planned to be imposed on the sale of AI-80 gasoline at all gas stations in Uzbekistan. Additionally, Tatneft, Lukoil, Gazpromneft and Saneg will participate in constructing over 80 gas stations along main highways to promote competition in the market.
